I've watched enhanced movies on my computer before, but I can't get my computer to recognize the iWorship DVD. Why is that?

Though the media disc looks similar, you may have CD-R's or enhanced CD's confused with DVD's. If your computer is not equipped with a drive that reads DVD's and equipped with software that reads DVD's, then you will not be able to experience the iWorship DVD with that particular computer unless you add a DVD drive to it.

How do I add a DVD drive to my computer?

Contact your computer retailer or your computer manufacturer for details.

How can I use the iWorship DVD's with a projector and my sound system?

There are two ways of doing this.

  1. Connect the video outputs of a set-top DVD player to the video inputs of your projector. Additionally, connect the audio outputs of your DVD player to the audio inputs of two separate channels of your audio console.
  2. Using a computer, connect the video outputs of your computer to the video outputs of your projector. Additionally, connect the audio outputs of your computer to the audio inputs of two separate channels of your audio console.

For additional information on this see "I've hooked up the audio outputs...?" below.

I can see the iWorship DVD playing on my computer, but I can't see it through the projector. Why is that?

First, make sure that the iWorship DVD is working in other situations, on a set-top player, etc.

Try restarting the computer with the projector already turned on. Sometimes the computer can't configure itself to use the projector if it's turned on before the projector.

Have you been able to watch other DVD's through your projector? (Not CD-Roms or Enhanced CD's)

Since many computers are configured differently, with infinite DVD drives, software solutions, and video card options, we are unable to offer direct support for this type of conflict. We don't want to leave you in the dark though....

Generally for a DVD player to play through a computer through a projector, there are six areas for it to go through:

Contact customer support for any of the above as they apply to your system. Ideally, start with the manufacturer of your computer to find out about the DVD software's output compatibility with your video card.

I've hooked up the audio outputs of the DVD player (computer or set-top) to my audio console, and I can't get the split tracks or the click track to work as promised. What do I do?

Most sound reinforcement systems are set up in mono, while the iWorship DVD uses both the left and right channels of the stereo spectrum. While all sound reinforcement consoles (a.k.a. sound boards) are different, some take external stereo signals and combine them into a single mono signal. In some cases this can create a phasing problem.

If you have a console that behaves this way, try sending the left and right channels to their own input channels on the console (say 23 and 24), leave the pan knobs centered, and use the faders to control the volume for each side.

The keys that the click track are in are either too low or high for my worship team. How can I get around this?

By simply using the click track as the sole guide and leaving the guide track out of the mix, you can create your own arrangement of the songs in any key, as long as the meter and form stays the same. You will lose the benefit of the instrumental track as a reinforcement or guide, but you will have total creative freedom when it comes to your arrangement.

I am having trouble with subtitles. Either they don't stay on long enough, they appear translucent, or they won't appear at all. What's going on?

This problem occurs with a very small number of software driven DVD players. Because this is a software problem, and not a problem with the DVD itself, please contact the maker of your DVD software player and let them know about the problem you are having. They may have an update available, or they may be able to make a fix in a future update.
